Järbo Skills Park
About the project
In Järbo, the wishes of children and young people become reality. The demand for an organized place for cycling and socializing was great in the village. The project created a reference group consisting of both adults and youth with mixed experiences of cycling. Everyone's needs were then woven together into an application.
The result will be a challenging skills park for cycling that offers something for all levels and ages. The skills area is open and free for everyone.

”There are incredibly many children & young people in Järbo who engage in spontaneous sports without an organized place. Children and youth cycle and build jumps in various places, both good and less good spots.
With this project, we create better conditions for children and young people to both meet and engage in spontaneous sports. We also create a possible pathway into community life with camaraderie, belonging, and participation.”

Purpose of the project:
To create a gathering place and improve the conditions for increased spontaneous sports in an organized area, where children and young people are given the opportunity to participate in prosocial contexts.
Goals of the project:
To have developed a new skills area for cycling and improved existing trails in connection with the skills park.
The project also aims to create a new gathering place for children and young people and increase interest and engagement in cycling in Järbo.
