Discover Ockelbo and Jädraås by bike
The association Naturkraft Gästrikland has carried out the activity Cycling festival with support from Leader Gästrikebygden – Sprint Strengthen the place!
The association has organized two full days that have given people the chance to meet and discover the joy of using the bike - both as a leisure activity and as a means of transport - with a special focus on cycling in the forest and various related activities.
The Cycling Festival took place on June 14 and 15, 2025 with children's race, three guided bike tours as well as exhibition, lecture and After Bike.
The Sprint activity has been carried out in collaboration with Rönnåsen forest and youth, Wij garden center, Destination Jädraås, Lingman outdoors and cycling as well as the Nature Conservation Association Ockelbo. Several of the actors have not participated in similar events before and through the new network have come into contact with new/other visitors and customers. This would not have happened without the joint work with the Bike Festival. Now the association wants to make this a recurring event. All actors view positively to continue meeting to develop the Bike Festival as a concept and also find more and other outdoor events to collaborate on.
