Yesterday we honored the finalists and appointed the winners of This Year's Rural Builder. The evening began already outside in the courtyard, where all guests were welcomed with kulning by Åsa Larsson, with the stage name Resmiranda. She also played and sang during the mingling in the evening. Leader Guest Village welcomed everyone and then inspired Stefan Johansson with his Story of a Dream. Stefan is a restaurateur at Högbo Brukshotell and winner in the category Attitude. We were served the kitchen's delicious soup with cheese and bread from the mill. Coffee and sweets were also served. Then the award ceremony took place. The award was presented for the third time. All finalists were introduced with a short film. All finalists received diplomas and the winners were also awarded flowers.
This Year's Honorary Award went to Johanna Grönlund, entrepreneur and community person from Hofors.
“Johanna is a dedicated entrepreneur and community person who has made and
continues to make a significant impact in Hofors municipality. With a community engagement beyond the ordinary, she holds the position of chairperson in Hofors AIF where she is also one of the driving forces behind the initiative Stålkompisarna. Johanna is a person who sees all individuals in the community and she has a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated – a true rural builder.”

Association – Ockelbo hunting shooting club, Ockelbo
Attitude – Stefan Johansson, restaurateur/food & beverage manager Högbo Brukshotell
Young – Karl Thorell, Dalsängs farm & animal farm
